Community Service Day

March 15, 2024

Community service activity with children helping others

On March 15th, 2024, our young leaders from the Young Muslim Leadership Program participated in a meaningful community service project that left a lasting impact on both our participants and the local community.

The day began with an orientation where students learned about the importance of community service in Islam and how it helps build stronger, more compassionate communities. Our young leaders then divided into teams to work on various service projects throughout Northwest Arkansas.

Projects Included:

  • Assisting at local food banks and distribution centers
  • Cleaning and beautifying community parks and public spaces
  • Visiting senior centers to spend time with elderly community members
  • Organizing donation drives for essential items

The event was not just about the work accomplished, but also about the lessons learned. Our participants developed leadership skills, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of their role in serving others. Many students shared how this experience helped them appreciate their blessings and the importance of giving back to those in need.

We're incredibly proud of our young leaders for their dedication and hard work. This event was a true testament to the positive impact our youth can have when given the opportunity to serve.
